Flower power

When it comes to flower decorations, I am always for the fresh ones that are live and fragrant.

But that is not always possible or convenient.

There is an option to replace them with artificial flowers, which could serve you considerably longer than the fresh ones.

You can find surprisingly beautiful life-like artificial flowers these days.

But there is one little thing about them — they gather dust like crazy and are very hard to clean.

After some time they look tired, dusty, and clearly artificial and not much of decoration anymore.

Despite that, most of us are hesitant to through them away for years somehow.

I think there is some sort of psychological moment here as we don‘t have any trouble to through away live flowers when they look not fresh anymore.

So, if the fresh bouquet is of the table, I would make a composition of dried flowers instead of artificial.

It will not be as bright, but it will be from the real flowers, which you picked and dried before.

It can look very subtle and tell others about your taste for real stuff instead of artificial as well as about sustainable things and care of the environment.

Also, it will not be a struggle to replace them with new ones when the time comes.
